You can prepare and use a (one-sided) A4-size formula sheet with your 15 favourite mathematical formulas written on it (one formula = one line)

First midterm:

Material examined: page 1-76 of scanned lecture notes (the pages that we skipped are indicated there)

There will be two questions on the midterm.
Each of the questions will be similar to homework questions (HW 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) or exercises/examples explained in class (see in particular pages 5, 8, 14, 15, 20, 26-29, 32, 42-44, 53-55, 58-60, 64), including student presentations.
The solutions of student presentations are all included in the scanned lecture notes.
