Mathematics
MSc for Civil Engineers (BMETE90MX33 ENV) exams in the Spring
semester of 2021
We
will use Neptun, Microsoft Teams
and BME TTK Moodle
for the exams. Specifically:
- To take the exam, you must have a valid signature for the course from a previous semester.
- You
may find three exam dates in Neptun. To participate at the exam on a
particular date, you have to register for the exam at
the corresponding date in Neptun by the deadline (typically noon on the
day before the exam date).
- Exams
are arranged online, on Microsoft Teams, from 9.11am
to 10.41am
on each of the three dates. As simlutaneously other exams are
organized, a separate Team has been created on Microsoft Teams with
name Vizsgakurzus 2021
tavasz – Examination Course, Spring 2021. The Team
code is: mtq5sf0. You have
to join this
Team to participate at the exam.
- All
students will get their individual
sheet of problems. The link
from which your individual test can be downloaded will be
sent out on the day before the exam by 9pm, to your email
registered in the Neptun system (to those students who signed in for
the exam date in Neptun by the deadline).
- Solutions are to be uploaded to BME
TTK Moodle at the subject Mathematics
MSc for Civil Engineers - BMETE90MX33. Verify that
you access this subject in Moodle.
- Corresponding to each exam date, there will be
a separate topic
named Exam YYYY.MM.DD,
where YYYY.MM.DD is the exam date, and within this topic, a separate assigment named Exam. Solutions are
to be uploaded to this assignment.
- Upload
a single (if necessary, several pages long) pdf file, of size at most 10 MByte-s.
- You will have 10 minutes to scan and upload your
solutions,
that is, you have to complete this by10:51am.
This deadline is taken seriously, Moodle will not permit late
submissions.
- Scan your solutions in portrait A4 format (not landscape),
for inclusion in your single pdf
file. Also, it helps grading if the solutions are in the same
order in the solution pdf file as assigned in the exam.
- For the duration of the exam and the upload
process, all sudents have to sign
in to the Teams meeting assigned to the exam date. Keep
your camera switched on and
your microphone muted for the full duration of the exam.
- You may use a simple calculator at the exam. Check the course
homepage for details.
- According to the course requirements, every
student may be requested to defend their exam solutions
orally. Check the course
homepage for details.
- Your letter grade is based on your exam and your
midterm
test result (from earlier semester) as described in the course
requirements. Check the course
homepage for details.
- On the day before every exam date there will be
an
online consultation possibility on Microsoft Teams. In case
you intend to use this possibility for consultation, let me
know
by email or by a Microsoft Teams message, latest by 9pm the day before
the consultation (ie. two days before the exam).
