Mathematical problems in self-driving applications

The development of self-driving vehicles requires sophisticated mathematical solutions in various problems such as computer vision, sensor calibration, sensor fusion, trajectory planning, etc. First, I'll give a general introduction to the self-driving technolgy and highlight some interesting mathematical concepts applied in the self-driving pipeline. In the second part of the lecture I'll give a brief introductuon to deep learning, which brings the state-of-the-art solution to many computer vision tasks.
